Atlantic Judicial Circuit - Assistant Public Defender III The Atlantic Circuit Public Defender's Office is seeking to hire an Assistant Public Defender III.
The Atlantic Judicial Circuit covers six counties:
McIntosh, Long, Liberty, Tattnail, Evans, and Bryan.
This position will be based in our Hinesville office (approximately 40 minutes from Savannah/Pooler).
The chosen candidate will represent clients in Liberty County Superior Court.
Applicants must have the necessary skills to perform the responsibilities of this position.
A strong work ethic and commitment to indigent defense are required.
A desire to participate in Trials Skills training is required if the successful candidate has been practicing for three years or less.
Training will be paid for by the office and is in addition to that provided by GPDC.

ASSISTANT PUBLIC DEFENDER III Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university AND license to practice law in the State of Georgia OR eligibility to sit for the next Georgia Bar examination followed by Georgia Bar exam passage and licensure to practice law in the State of Georgia within one (1) year of hiring OR reciprocity AND Two years of relevant legalexperience OR Two years of experience required at the lower-level Attorney 2 (LEP021) Recommended Skills Hardworking And Dedicated Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
