Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SQL Developer with a focus on Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database design, optimization, and maintenance, specifically tailored to support the requirements of a Warehouse Management System.
As a key member of our technology team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining the database infrastructure that drives our warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
Database Design and Optimization:
Design, implement, and maintain the database schema for the Warehouse Management System.
Optimize database performance for high-volume transaction processing and reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and implement database requirements based on WMS needs.
Query Optimization and Performance Tuning:
Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support data retrieval and manipulation.
Monitor and analyze query performance, making recommendations for improvements.
Implement indexing and other strategies for query optimization.
Data Integration:
Work closely with integration teams to ensure seamless data flow between the WMS and other enterprise systems.
Develop and maintain ETL processes for data synchronization and migration.
Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues.
Database Maintenance:
Perform routine database maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, and data purging.
Monitor database health and implement proactive measures to prevent downtime.
Collaborate with system administrators to ensure optimal server configurations.
Documentation and Reporting:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database schemas, processes, and configurations.
Generate ad-hoc and regular reports based on WMS data for business stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
1-2 years of relevant internship or work experience.
Strong understanding of SQL, PL/SQL, and database management.
Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with specific WMS platforms (e.
g.
, Highjump/Korber, Manhattan Associates).
Knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
Certification in database management or related field is a plus.
