The Enotah Circuit Public Defender Office is seeking an Assistant Public Defender III. This vacancy may be filled at the lower level of Assistant Public Defender I or II. This determination will be based on experience. This position will be primarily responsible for representing indigent clients in criminal matters in Superior Court. Additionally, this position represents indigent juveniles in Juvenile Court delinquency case proceedings from petition through appeal. Applicants must meet the qualifications and have the necessary skills to perform the job duties and responsibilities for this position as determined by the hiring officer, and must be a current member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia. A strong commitment to indigent defense is also required.

Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university AND license to practice law in the State of Georgia OR eligibility to sit for the next Georgia Bar examination OR reciprocity AND Two years of relevant legal experience OR Two years of experience required at the lower level Attorney 2 (LEP021).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
